The Davis Dirt

TODAY, learn from the master gardeners of Davis!
Even though it is getting colder doesn't mean the time to garden and be outdoors is over :)

Ask a UC Master Gardener: Ruth Risdon Storer Garden

Ask a UC Master Gardener: Ruth Risdon Storer Garden

Get to know the Arboretum's Ruth Risdon Storer Garden, a Valley-wise garden featuring flowering perennials and small shrubs that are especially well suited to Central Valley climate! It is designed for year-round color with low water use and low maintenance plants, and features a demonstration planting of roses and companion plants.

Learn more about the garden, its plants, and ecological importance directly from UC Master Gardeners who help maintain the garden. It's a great opportunity to learn more about this highly regarded, gorgeous landscape and get inspired!

This is an informal drop-in program, not a guided tour. Please stop by to ask and explore! Master Gardeners will also be available to answer questions, share plant information, and highlight environmentally-friendly gardening practices.

The event is free. Biking is encouraged, but parking is available on the street or in nearby parking lots at no charge on the weekends.
